Affect Vs Effect
Choosing between affect and effect can be scary.Always remember,
EFFECT-NOUN-means-a change
which is a result or consequence of an action or other cause.
AFFECT-VERB-means-have an effect on; make a difference tosynonyms: influence, exert influence on, transform,
also means- touch the feelings of; move emotionally-synonyms: hurt, trouble
EFFECT-NOUN-means-a change
which is a result or consequence of an action or other cause.
synonyms: | result,consequences,outcome, |
AFFECT-VERB-means-have an effect on; make a difference tosynonyms: influence, exert influence on, transform,
also means- touch the feelings of; move emotionally-synonyms: hurt, trouble
TIP :try substituting EFFECT(noun) with the noun CONSEQUENCES and AFFECT(verb) with
the verb TRANSFORM.
EXAMPLE: Do not allow this incident to effect your decision.
Tip: Do the substitution test."Do not allow this incident to consequence your decision" < nonsense; effectis wrong."Do not allow this incident to transform your decision" < sounds ok; affect is correct.)
Note: Sometimes, the noun-substitution test won't work with consequence because effect is quite a versatile word. You might have to try other nouns, e.g., appearance. If you find yourself trying to use this word as a verb (e.g., appear, appears), then you should be using affect not effect.

SUCCESS Vs FAILURE
We might have seen this picture so many times to make a promise with ourselves that "I WILL ONLY FOLLOW SUCCESS".
But the point here is; Are we still cursing our FAILURE or getting some learning out of it?
THINK!!!!
We tend to say ourselves or show off others that we are still learning from our failures but
somehow we keep cursing on it.
We come up with these Questions so frequently in our mind:
"Why me?"
"I am fed up being called FAILURE"
"I can never meet with SUCCESS"
"I am USELESS"
We heard about Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc. for their FAILURE & SUCCESS.
They have proved the world that SUCCESS can't reach you without FAILURE.
They also faced toughest time in their lives in terms of FAILURE but they sustained because they knew that one day they would definitely meet SUCCESS.
They kept learning new things from their FAILURES instead of Cribbing.
Determination, Courage and Focus are referred as important sources of SUCCESS.
But We should remember one thing that these sources are WITHIN us. These can't be purchased from anywhere.
So, Don't Forget about your FAILURES because one day they are going to help you in achieving your SUCCESS. And change your views on your own assumptions like this:
"Sure! I am RAEDY"
"I hear a lot about my SUCCESS"
"I can never retain FAILURE"
"I am SKILFUL"
